 A grasshopper captured for a short time and placed on a floating leaf (the transportation)...he only jumped off a few times, then gave up jumping for a while but did test the water with his leg in this photo.
I thought it was original and something different from the ordinary transport, so here it is: levels, curves, usm, hue/saturation, selective color, cropped.
there are a couple of white flecks in water, but because it is basic editing, they shall remain.

Meets the challenge, has some good focus and nice composition. Would've liked the leaf to be more centered in the corner so the bit of black at the bottom wasn't showing. The lighting is nice and bright but it feels very harsh to me. The colors are nice, perhaps they've been boosted though? They have a slight unnatural feeling to them. I really like the idea behind this and its been rendered very well. I gave a 6
