Good to see a bit of Aussie! Love the colours and the representation here. Shows a little of how we are...

I love the strong colours and the distortion....it shows the wacky side of Aussie Culture.

Nick...your camera can do Bulb settings (longer shutter speeds). You need to turn your dial on your shutter speed past 30 seconds and that will take you into Bulb. You also need a shutter lock remote...which can be used as a remote as well as lock your shutter open. You stop the image by sliding the lock back. You need to make sure your noise removal setting is on and this will take a photo (so to speak) of a black image for the same time period as your photo...it then calculates how much noise was gained during that time period and removes it from your photo.

I go out regularly with one of my students, doing star trails. My student uses a 350D.

Here is one example of a Shutter Lock for your specific camera.

Ebay Shutter Lock for about $16 including postage.

If I can help you further...please let me know. I am on MSN and Yahoo for convenience.
