This "floating city" is currently anchored off Esquimalt Harbour while its sailors bolster our tourist economy.
This shot was taken from Esquimalt Lagoon, and I spent a fair bit of time drooling over the setups of some of the other photographers out there. Some of them made me downright embarrassed to be seen with my P&S!
I imagine I'll get comments about the colour being off, but it's the golden evening light, and I wasn't going to "correct" it :)
Crop, levels, curves, USM, noiseware, desaturate a touch, another tiny touch of curves, resize, USM, save for web. |

| Impressive ship, but you needed to get your camera a little higher to keep the foreground foliage from overlapping the ship. Also, a slightly looser crop might have made the frame feel less crowded. |
