This shot seems really overexposed to me -- so bright and loud, it hurts my eyes. The flash is too much for a subject this close. Try an alternate source of lighting. |

a good start, but needs a few things. first, the reflection off the plant makes you lose a lot of the rich color and texture. if you dried off the leaves and/or used a polarizing filter, you could fix that. also, experiment with different compositions. try coming in closer so you can use the edges of leaves and the veins to create nice lines in the photo. |
