Taken on the side of a mountain (duh). The shots I went out and got special for this challenge were all crap - so this works. maybe.

All the usual mess of stuff: Curves, Hue&Sat, Selective Color, Brightness&Contrast, etc.

It's tough to get the lighting right when taking pictures at this time of day. I do like the backlit leaves. I think the composition might flow better if there was onlt one tree centered or three trees. The tree to the left of the frame sort of throws the balance off in my opinion.

Really good composition here. The two strong lines running up are complimented nicely by the bright green leaves to the right. On the negative, I don't feel DPC voters value everyday subjects like this even though this does NOT look like a snap shot. As such I think maybe you should have converted this to b/w or duotone or a selective desaturation leaving only the green color present. That along with the interesting composition would have added more impact, IMO. Good luck!
