Well I see it didn't end up being your worst scoring photo after all. :)

Geez, Don, what's with the fence? :-) I got it. I think you may have broken my record for 4's, though. |

I know access would have been impossible, but the fence just kills this shot. The fence becomes the dominant foreground, and I wouldn't even be able to tell it's a military plane without the title. :( |

Sorry the fence just kils this IMHO. 4. |

The fence really obscures your subject. If you're using a d-slr, increasing the shutter length and panning could be an option in this situation. But kudos to you for risking an interveiw with airport security. :) |

okay, so you might get shot if you jumped over the fence, but still, the fence is a major distraction and totally detroys your shot. it does add to the militaristic sense indicated by the wording of your title, creating a boundary between the civilian world and that of the armed forces, but it obscures our view too much. composition is everything in a picture, it really is - 3. |

Nice plane, but the chainlink fence adds nothing here, especially with it out of focus. If it had to be included, putting it in focus and letting the plane go slightly soft might have been a better compromise. |

I think that the fence takes a lot away from this image and I think that if you would have blured the fence more it would have been better. It is just to eye distracting. |

Just a real pity about the fence... |

Really could have done without the fence, may be a better angle as well. Would have been much more interesting showing the plane from the end of the runway coming in for a landing or even showing it touching down. Hope this helps some. |

You gotta love those 17's! Especially when they are giving you a ride home! I had the opportunity to sit in the cockpit behind the pilot as I flew from Baghdad to Qatar. When they told me to strap in and began the approach into Al Udied Air Base a big grin came over my face. It was an awesome experience to sit up there while we landed. They gave me a headset so I could listen to the conversation between the plane and ait traffic control. It was awesome!
You have done a great job of capturing it, especially through a fence. |

I like it. The barbed wire fence gives it kind of a secretive, high security "power" look :) Good luck! |

I'd like the photo more without the fencing. |

I think the fence detracts from the C5. Otherwise, good motion stopping shot. |
