The way that this was shot makes it seem almost like a color pencil drawing. The reflections really help highlight the frog. Lighting under the chin and on the face make for a very dramatic picture. The depth of field is good and the frog is push forward from the background. |

Looks like Jabba the Hutt :-) What an interesting subject. Looks a bit oversharpened, though. |

Great expression, shame about the burnt out highlights. Background looks like it has some bad artifacting left behind by NeatImage. The sharpening's gone a bit wrong, perhaps the radius was too wide. I think a closer crop could have made this a stronger image. 6 |

The lighting shows off the waxy texture of the subject's skin. |

what an interesting creature...the texture is almost palpable, the eye is nice, and the all-over color is nice |

I have NEVER seen a frog like that! Great picture! Some spot editing after the challenge will make this photo incredible. The background compliments this shot beautifully. |

I like the smoothness in the pic. Wish the lighting were more even - not so bright on the nose and elbow, |

Maybe a tighter crop on the right side...pretty fried there. However....this is so nice on the left. Great shadow/light and the color is just creepy!! Great work. Really a neat beast. |

what a face! the lighting could be improved, so that the eye had brilliant light on it. also seems to be a little on the grainy/sharp side. otherwise very nice! |

cool shot. great pose but way too much overshaprened has ruined what would have been an excellent image. |

That has got to be the ugliest waxy monkey frog I've ever seen!!! :) However, the colors are beautiful and the picture is clear and crisp!! 10 :) |
