 Inspired by some of the great toned B&Ws on DPC, I invited my cousin Jason and his fiance Tracey over to mine for a shoot. Thanks to both for there help and willingness to try out new shots.


I Shot in RAW and de-sat in RAW convertor.

PP in PS CS:
Increased constrast with Curves
Converted to Duotone, and used a bronzey pantone color for the second ink.
Used the burn tool to take some of the highlight off of Tracey's forehead and hand on Jason's shoulder.

It's an add for crest whitestrips! Just kidding, very nice shot but the teeth are a "little" too white. Love the tonal choice and composition and that you didn't NI it to death!

i like this; it feels fun, loving, romantic and basically contently happy. and the emotions are infectious. the nice touches (the glasses, tattoo, and blowig hair) all add to the naturalness and candid feeling of the shot, and doesn't make it feel particularly staged. the background happens to be black, rather than it being a black background, if that makes sense, which i also like. the sepias work too. lovely - 9.

I really like the candid nature of this.
Happy. Smiling. Genuine. All work well together and just makes a feel good presentation.
The look over the glasses is a plus as is the black & white conversion. Well done!
