Methylated spirit burning in a teaspoon above a candle. Gave my husband more fun creating fixtures from meccano as well as a bit of pyromania ;-)

crop, levels, sat on yellows & blues, high pass filter on duplicate background layer set as overlay to sharpen up flame. Resize, USM, SFW.

Nice original concept. Good contrast of the blue and yellow tones. Perhaps a bit more saturation to punch it up?

Cool! It might have had a little more WOW if you made some saturation adjustments to bring out the flame on the spoon. 6

The candle fading out and the flame seemingly wrapping around makes for a rather soothing image.

This is a great idea, nice composition could use just a tad more sharpening IMHO but still a great shot.
