Greetings from the Critique Club.
This is your entry in the 'Peas!' challenge, it definitely meets the challenge, those are indeed peas. I like the color and luminosity you've brought out of the peas. I can see where you are going with the minimalist approach to the shot, and can appreciate that, but I think that in this particular case, all that space doesn't seem to be really serving a purpose or adding to the dynamics of the composition. I think it is just perhaps a little too much. Or perhaps a case of balance. I'm wondering if maybe less space and just one or two peas could of made for a stronger image, but the same basic concept?
Processing wise, like I said, I like your color, but something just looks a little 'off' as to the peas. Some commenters have touched on it. I can't tell for sure what it is. I am not sure what editing program you are using, I am not familiar with 'clarify' or 'dnr'. (I'm a cs2 person)
Anyways, you've got some nice shots in your port, I'm sure we'll see plenty more in the future.
If you have any questions or comments or anything, feel free to contact me.
Happy shooting,
taterbug :-) |

I realy like the idea and composition and simpleness of this concept... but I would have rather that the peas themselves looked more natural and showed more detail and texture. |

This has a metalic look to it, but not sure I like the composition at all. |

the simple approach is not really working for me on this one. lighting seems harsh and the peas seem dark. |

Foooooo! The contrast! Not sure how I feel about this one, may have to circle for another approach later on... |

I'd like to be kind, but this is really poor and has not a lot going for it |
