Don't know if everyone will see the fire angel. But at least it will not DNMC. ;)

Compressed raw, opened in Capture. Sharpened, adjusted contrast, and saturation in raw conversion. Imported to CS2. Cloned out a few pepper imperfections and a couple of hot pixels. Sized to 615 on long side, then added a black border.
Applied smart sharpening and saved for web per DPC size requirements.

Jeez Louise! I should have taken pic of a bunch of matches! hehehehehh

Thanks lots to all who voted and commented on
my submission. I doubt anyone will read this far down in the results. ;) I guess nobody could visualize my flame angel. Also I forgot to set the F-stop to 5.6 or 8, so the faint pattern on the background stood out and looked like noise!
Duh! Slaps forehead!

Great idea, good detail and colour in the flame but for me the B/G is a little distracting (MHO)

Great capture. This would make a good stock shot.

Been done many times before, but not a bad take

Seems to be a little grainy and over-sharpened with the halo around the peppers. Still a good shot [6]

I would have preferred some more light on the peppers but all in all well executed. I do see some noise though.

Nice clarity on the peppers, though it looks a touch oversharpened along some of the edges judging by the haloing. The background is quite noisy, but nothing a pass through NI shouldn't be able to fix. It might also add a nice smooth gloss to the peppers.

I love the idea, and the picture is well captured, but I'm not sure why you chose the title you did.

Nice job with the green contrasting background, really makes the peppers and fire stand out

This is very good, but the background is a little on the grainy side and the lighting could do with a lift

Nice composition and use of colour. Really Really could have done with some noise removal - probably will cost this shot a lot in the score stakes. 7 from me.

I think that this would be better if the chillies were also on fire, rather than just having the flames behind them.

The noisy background is rather distracting.

WOW! Good use of complementary colors, composition works well for you here as well. My only nit pick is that it's a bit dark on the bottom peppers. Great shot that you should be proud of, 9 from me.

Bear? Just kidding. I know he likes to shoot peppers. Nicely composed. There are a few MINOR issues with the processing (halo, noisy background), but I like it. 7 for now (this is the first shot I'm seeing).
