 It was a book of matches, but the illumination only caught a single match so I was able to make it look as though the long flame came from a single. I don't think it'll do well, but I like the abstract simplicity.

Very elegant. It almost seems like the flame is a dancer twisting and reaching upwards.

There are just too many contextless, dismbodied flame shots in this challenge, and to be honest none of them are terribly interesting. This is much like the Fireworks challenge, where the photos that scored best actually placed them in some kind of context.

Good capture of the flame but nothing else to help the composition. The technicals are there and it's not bad. The problem is, with it being contrived. I do like it, in its simplicity. But the score remains at my base 5

has such a simple elegance... puts me in mind of the cover to the cd single Garbage did for one of the bond films... it has a sensuous curviness that i like very much. gorgeous and lovely - 9.
