Oh the joys of a late Canadian summer by the lake.

yum.

PS. I hope you didn't have your D2X unprotected in your hand on a little yellow floaty thingy for this one... EEK! :) j/k

I like this one. Looks like a fun shot. I'll bet a flash would have given you an extra point.

WOW! That's really beautiful! The fire looks so full and nice, and the sky looks great.

Wow, looks dangerous, interesting shot.

This has some really interesting things going on. I think the backlighting worked against you and there needs to be a sufficient light source to get the person more visible. The fire itself is really cool though.

A novel idea but has the feel of a snpashot

Looks pretty neat - wish it were lighter/brighter.

Have to say this is creative. I would of like to have seen more detail in the face. Props for creativity.

Well I always come back after I vote to leave comments and second guess my vote... I wold have like it a bit more if the face were not so dark. Over all tho it is a very nice shot and looks like a bit of thought and work went in to it. 9

Love it, it just screams fun!!

yikes. looks like that fire's about to tip over. i'm too clumsy i'd float right into that thing. never notice and light my head on fire. lol. beautiful shot though.8

"i know" he said "lets do a barbeque - on a lake!". how anyone comes to this sort of decision is beyond me, but kudos to you for being creative, original and a bit mad. there is a lot to absorb in this picture; from the pretty flames, to the dramatic sky, the floating bloke and the niceness of the lake. doesn't feel too much though, each bit compliments the other. it feels a tad on the dark side (blokes head, specifically) so a spot light or torch might have helped. it's all totally bonkers of course, and immensly likeable as a result. 8.

If the model's face were better lit, this would have scored a point higher from me. Everything else about it is great! I have a feeling other voters will find it too busy or just won't get it, but I think the quirkiness is what gives this one so much potential.

Fun shot! Float-in, Roast in, Marshmallow's that's a hoot! A little dark around the guy. I would have liked to see more detail in his face. Perfect fire capture. 7

oooh this looks dangerous! Looks like a nice place to be and the colour and focus of the flames is good :o)

darn you! now I want S'mores! It would be better if you made the face brighter and got rid of that red light

a bit busy for my taste, but well executed ... everything is sharp and the colors are great ... 7

Wild idea, not sure about backlighting though

A bit too dark, but certainly funny!
