Post Challenge. Thanks for the votes and comments.

At last, I can tell some of you, No Bugs were harmed. This is just a shell of a bug that sheds. For a bunch of bug lovers you sure don't know much about bugs. Perhaps next time you are cleaning them off the windshield and grille of your car you could take a closer look at the ones you yourself killed. Maybe it will advance your bug knowlege.

I would like to know how many of you woudln't step on one of these if you found it in your house?

LOL! I liked the shot - gave it a 6.

A different title would have helped. How about this "No Bugs were harmed. This is just a shell of a bug that sheds. For a bunch of bug lovers you sure don't know much about bugs. Perhaps next time you are cleaning them off the windshield and grille of your car you could take a closer look at the ones you yourself killed. Maybe it will advance your bug knowlege."

...yeah a little long I suppose. :)

No bugs died in the making of this photo (I hope)! Cropped a bit too tight at the top as I feel it would be better to show all of the flame and concentrate less on the bug

Mostly I look at this and just think, "Straaange..." but I appreciate the originality and the execution isn't bad, though perhaps a touch too flat.

Were any bugs hurt in the filming of this.... Oh well I am sure it could not have been helped!

Neat idea burning a cicada shell. It is very soft and I find myself wanting a much sharper image one where I can almost hear the crackling of the shell.
