I'm a sucker for creative silhouette images. THe lamp has double edges, but that works well underlining the difficulty of conditions. 9

I wish there was a flame in the picture.

Good idea and I think you would have pulled it off if the ceiling light wasn't in shot but was behind the fireman to enhance the silhouette

Very noisy, but it could be the smoke. I also think this would make more of a statement in color

You may have gotten negative comments about this but let me say that I love the grain/noise! I think it can definitely work for this type of shot. I feel like this doesn't meet the challenge as much as I would like, because even though it's related to fire, it does not involve fire. But, on its own, I think it is a really nice shot - composed well, good colors and lighting.. I love the subject-as-negative-space thing going on here.

Good sillouette. Looks a bit grainy, but that could be the smoke.

I wish you could of had fire in the photograph. I believe it would of made a big difference.

Nice silhouette, but no fire...

I see no fire here, just smoke.

Powerful image and yes it implies fire. However I see no fire and that in lies the problem. A silhouette is much easier to capture than fire. I feel that is what the challenge is about. Having said that I will vote this at my base if there was fire in it because the content relates to fire. 5

Interesting take. Love the silhouettes, albeit noisey, but I suspect the ISO may have been high for this. Good work all the same :)

I'm torn on how to vote on this. I kinda love it and hate it at the same time for different reasons. I cant place what he's holding. a huge flashlight? but theres no light coming from it so whats he aiming at? It sort of looks like it could be a camera. It's just annoyingly confusing but I love the smoke and feel of this at the same time.

where's the fire?

there's a lot of drama in this shot...it could do with some work in ps to work on levels and contrast to make the firefighter stand out more
