 I was taking shots of the moon and the fog along the tree line late one night/morning when a truck drove by. I actually tried to get the truck in the shot when i heard it coming in the distance. The concept just struck me as fitting for the competition.

Yes, I know that there are some hot pixels on my camera :) I'm planning on the new digital rebel here soon...so I'll just donate this old thing :)

I like this shot, though I would prefer it without the large dot below the moon (I assume). I know that is not legal for the comp, but other than that I really like this one.

A clever picture, very well realised, but having very little to do with the subject of Life as we know it - or does it refer to Life in the Fast Lane?

Excellent. Not too sure about the title ; ) but it gets across the interpretation I suppose.
I like the blown out Moon, it adds atmosphere to the shot more than a correctly exposed Moon would. Is that Mars in there too?

Wow, I could spend ages trying to get my head around that analogy. But I'll stop before my head hurts. Interesting pic, but I think the composition lets it down. I can't decide if your moon needs to be more centred, it's placement doesn't look deliberate. And I can't decide if you were using the silhouetted trees as part of your composition. 6

You're picture is *way* over compressed, which mars an otherwise interesting idea. Your image is only 14k - it can be up to 150k. Use as much of that space as you can. Beyond that... An interesting idea, pulled off reasonably well. Normally, I'd say the moon was over-exposed, but it works for effect here. The lights - that's a tough call. The fact that they aren't straight bothers me at first, but I suppose it could have the effect of showing some depth - maybe getting the car moving away down the road would have worked even better. I'll give it a 5 - interesting concept that could have been done better.
