Used the same set up as my sugar explosion last week - I've figured that this is the only way I can get good consistent lighting without forking out the money for all the studio stuff I'd need.

It means that I have to play with the image more in RAW and PS to get the results I want.

In this photo I upped the shadows in RAW then in PS I had to clone out the tops of the nails that were sticking out the tops of the peas, which were holding everything together. Played a little with the saturation, used NN to hide flash speckles on the bag. The a bit of dodge and burn to get the result I wanted.

There must have been a lot work to prepare this photo.

the single light gives it an intersting look. doesn't quite look right trying to follow the lines to the back of the cube. maybe a larger DOF would have helped. I also would have prefered better looking peas and no juice. nice take on the challenge.

This is interesting and fun to look at. Your subject certainly stands out against the black background. Question of the day for you has probably already been asked...how did you get the special character to show up in the title? I need to know the answer! ;^) Good luck in the challenge.

lol, fun things to do with peas #102, and educational too :)
In terms of the photograph itself, the vignetting at the corners (from the flash coverage I assume) is a bit distracting. I also think this would look better on a white background. Placing the pea packaging in the shot is probably unnecessary ... actually now that I look closer, they do look a bit like tiny cooking apples ... :) 10 out of 10 for inventiveness, definitely
