 This is actually a small green peach in a giant oyster. I placed the shell with the oyster in the sand from my daughter's play area and took the shot.

PP included the usual, Levels, Curves, H/S, B/C, and then some selective sharpening and blurring. (The pea-rl received a touch of radial blur to enhance the pearl effect. USM, and save for web.

Interesting take on the challenge. the oyster and pea look pretty good although maybe a little noisy but I think it would have looked much better on a beach.

Is there a DOF discrepancy or are my eyes playing tricks on me? It seems like the pea should be sharper.

Interesting idea! I like the lighting and I like the idea to present the shell on what looks like soil but those bits in the lower right corner are quite distracting.

A very well done, very clever photo. On normal circumstances, the green would have thrown off the earthy tones of this photo, but I'm not sure that's true on a challenge like this.

But the way the pea is so shiny and perfect, like a pearl would be, is great. Well done, I hope to see this place high.
