3 shot mutiple exposure from the camera.
I tried the first one with 4 shots and thought it was a bit too much.

Decided on 2 shots of the camera and one for texture.

It was done in the bedroom in front of a not so big mirror with the camera on self-timer.
Only whatever light that was inside the room was used and I ended up blocking some light too.

I was holding a black towel to cover the background and shaking it to make sure that no details from it appeared in the shots.
The first 2 exposures were around 6 seconds @ f/4.8.

Shot the first one with the camera filling the frame.
For the second shot I moved back and recomposed the shot with the camera in the bottom right of the frame and me in the background with the towel.
The 3rd shot was done with very shallow DOF (f/2). It was done to add texture.

I went down, had a look around to see what could be used as texture. There weren't many and I thought the couch could work.
I shot the couch from a low angle and shallow DOF (f/2), with focus on the top 3rd, trying to work out where parts of the camera would be in the shot.
Grid helped to align the sharp area of the 3rd shot.

Processing: Adobe Photoshop CS2

- Adjusted contrast of RAW file
- Slight rotation and crop
- Flipped
- Adjusted Curves for contrast and colour.
- Resampled and sharpened

I am looking to buy a new Digital Camera and wanted to get your professioanl opinion of either the Nikon D200 or the Canon EOS 5D.
I know that the processor is the most important, but what is the Advantage and or disadvantage of either of these Models. What I know is the Canon does have 12.8 MegaPixel and is Full Frame and is suppose to have a better Chip, but I've seen some really nice Colorful Macro Shots with the Nikon D200.

Ultimately, my goal is to incorporate My digital Photos with Digitally Designed Art and enlarge on a LightJet (Requires 150dpi at final size for optimal printing - apparent 4,000dpi)at sizes up to 4'x8'.

Any suggestions on these Cameras or others you might recommed with any info on lenses as well?

Thanks,

Trace

If I was Nikon I'd use this for my advertisement. Not sure how well it would go over, but I would be in a place of tranquility and inner peace.

Clever! I'm not sure how you did it and I'd like to understand. Having the small image fronting the larger image is brilliant, as is the lighting which sets off the small image without hurting the larger one. I am not usually a fan of high grain, but I like it a lot in this instance. Hope it does well inthe voting because it's among my top picks.

I'd get this validated if I were you...

for now, i will give you the benefit of the doubt and say how awesome! I have a D200 and would be happy to see this shot advertising the camera...

I am guessing you projected the picture in the background???
