single exposure magic mirror trick(Peppers ghost)
crop sharpen

--Post Challenge--
/sheet glass at a 20-60deg angle with the brighter object (candle) reflected at the same distance as the main subject (my hand)

same 'trick' used in

& done the same time as the apple

can tell by there is a small double image (both sides of the glass) around the flame (smaller the angle the smaller the double image)

It makes me wonder how it´s done.
Great shot

OUch! A touch bright around the flame but good execution of this shot.

This is a tough image for me. On the one hand, I love the concept, the hand is well-lit and sharp, and the flame looks nice.

On the other hand, aside from the literal placement of the flame, there doesn't seem to be much connection to the hand. I'm looking for something that's burning, and I find myself wondering whether this is a reflection instead of just being absorbed by the photo. I'm sorry I don't have anything more specific to give you. 5.

heh, hope you aren't getting a backlash from having essentially the same concept in two challenges in a row (see my "Mind over Matter" Fire II shot. I won't really critique too much, because I will just try to turn it into my shot instead of your own. 5

Its compelling and makes me wonder how you achieved it.

There's something about this shot I like but cant help wondering that with a slight change of angles the flame could have read much much better against the black background or by moving the light source the flame could have been against the darker skin tones.... you may have tried all this....still like the shot anyhow.

this would have tken quite a bit of effort for a great result

Love the idea. Would have liked to see a bigger flame and smoother blending. Nice job though.
