 My first try at this style of photo. I don't really like the soft focus effect much generally, though I think this is a fairly decent attempt at it. Having said that, I dare not hazard a guess as to how it will score.

As for the editing - well I was having a little trouble getting an effect I liked using gaussian blur, so I pretty much copped out and used the soft focus image filter in the camera. I'm not sure whether the effect is too strong or 'blurry.'

This to me is how Soft focus should be, lovely detail, nice sharp face, good colours and the soft focus effect (however you have applied it) works well with your subject (MHO) :o)

Interesting subject! I like the way her eyelashes create a shadow on her face. A bit too much halo around her hands, I think.
