 Garden shot with the iconic profile of a sunflower. Focused on closer flower then cropped out the in-focus part.

Cropped, adjusted levels, saturation, added a thin border and saved for the web.

im not sure but i dont think soft focus and blur are the same thing.

A bit too heavy on the softness although the colors that come through are nice.

Soft focus is designed to leave important details clearly evident, but to soften context and unimportant details. You've gone too far, IMO, to really meet the challenge.

ooh I cant look at this image for very long at all it makes my eyes go funny. For me, way too much blur I'm afraid (MHO)
