PS - I wonder whether the eight ones came from the prudes, or the folks that don't think it met the challenge ? |

Yes, the soft focus effect here is subtle, but it's there - who cares if it's accomplished via the use of a wide open aperture, a filter, or in post-processing. This seems to be a new style of photography for you, but I think you've definately pulled it off.
Oh... and the red-blooded male in me feels somehow compelled to add that she does indeed have a great body! |

I am not fond of this type of photography (personal preference) but will try my best to make a constructive comment. I like the models face and hair, there is definitely a soft 'feel' to the upper part of this shot but IMHO you could have cropped from her shoulder down out completely and this would have had more impact than the current compostion. |

I'm not sure if you're going for beauty or sex appeal... They can be (as in this photograph) mutually exclusive at times. This was a bit too sharp to be aesthetically pleasing. |

There is no soft focus here. Soft focus has a misty character with the edges softened and bright areas turned like fog. It results of light difusion before the lens. This picture is only using a shallow DOF. |

Pretty lady, but the image seems more DOF than soft focus. |

Great alluring pose, but I see this more as nice DOF than soft focus. She has an Uma Thurman quality about her. I might reposition the shot so that the arm of the couch isn't a distracting spot on the right. |
