I have to admit that I don't understand the photo. It's not very interesting either. Only thing that's funny is that the woman wears shorts and sandals to hear suit ;-)

To be honest with you, this image makes no sense to me. Even with the title, I am still confused. Plus, it looks a bit out of focus and a tad grey (the back wall is grey not white)

I am appreciating the topic in this photo, however, composing the photo so that she is further right may be more effective. The lighting also needs work as it looks flat the way it is here. Nice idea - just room for improvement.

I dont get this, is it an american thing?

I like it. This photo makes a fashion statement.

I think if the composition was on the right side of the frame, so she was looking into the picture, it would be better, photographically. I think this is very funny. karmat

Needs to show more legs! (ha) A bit dry, it would have helped to see the graphic she is displaying. Good focus, composition (I know you couldn't control this, but it is part of the pic) not so good. The black thing in the foreground (lower left corner) is distracting, the floor and background are pretty lifeless. Her outfit seems inconsistant, blazer with athletic shorts? Challenge scoring - I dunno, it is a valid reference. Her expression is more pleading than anything else. 7 Swash

Uh. I don't really get this. But I guess there is some obscure meaning to somebody here.

I don't understand this at all. What is that big dark thing on the left? Why is she wearing sports shorts with her suit jacket? Why is there so much blank wall showing? The lighting is very dull and the colours are flat. No sorry I missed this one completely.

would look better from waist up, the shorts and sandles are distracting and remove from the photo.

I can't say why I don't like this picture; from a technical point of view it doesn't jump out at me and I'm not sure what the picture is trying to convey. I can't be dishonest here, but I also can't offer any real constructive comments because I'm not really sure what's actually wrongâ€Â¦ Sorry, hopefully you'll get better comments than this one... Good luck

Intriguing.The negative space looks kinda...negative.

Turn the flash off when there is a wall directly behind, as the shadow becomes a narrow band around the subject.

This photo wouldn't work at all without the title. The photo should show that this woman is breaking the glass ceiling somehow.

I have no idea where this choice of framing came from -- huge amounts of unnecessary space on the right. Aside from that, it's really pretty boring. More detail or more emotion could help.

help is that a term you use

huh?

The shoes suck
07/29/2002 01:39:00 PM
Okay, first off women who are striving to get through the glass ceiling don't wear jogging shorts, tap pants or shiny mini skirts with their corporate blazers. They also do't wear summer beach shoes to a presenation -- AND break through the glass ceiling. You're troubled by a bad flash induced shadow and the blob in the lower left does nothing for the composition.
