A picture I took of the fruit platter at my neice's 3rd birthday party. The room was very dark, so I had to set the ISO settings really high. I also didn't have a tripod, so had to keep the shutter speed as fast as possible.

don't care for the depth of field on this one. Colours need to be very bold and that canalope rind just cuts everything off.

I like this zoomed-in version of a still life. nice diagonal composition with plenty of negative space. 8

I want to reach out and grab one of those grapes. Nice job.

A nice simple still life; good color and texture on the grapes and the strawberry leaves. The melon in front kinda distracts me a bit - a little more DOF to make it a bit less fuzzy, maybe? Levels or a bit of color work to take some pink out of the background would make the colors a bit stronger.

I'm no expert but in terms of food photography they probably would have shown more of the red in the strawberries and removed that stem up on top. The shallow DOF works well. Good Luck!

Nice idea but the shallow DOF is just not working here. I would at least like to see the foreground cantalope also in focus.

Almost abstract ...

The extremely narrow DOF produces a blurred white thing in the front that's so large it distracts me.
