To much light from the right side causing that part of your subjects face to wash out. |

The model is pretty, but the light is too harsh on the right side of her face. |

IMHO this is more the use of DOF than soft focus as the 'models' face appears fully in focus with non of the characteristic looks of a soft focus 'finished' face |

There is no soft focus here. Soft focus has a misty character with the edges softened and bright areas turned like fog. It results of light difusion before the lens. This picture is only using a shallow DOF. |
