this shot is too blurry...could be sharper...Just Kidding!!
The red really stands out against the black and white borders. 8 |

| it fits the challenge very nicely, though i think the image itself fits uncomfortably with the oppressively black, thick and heavy border. normally, i like a big black chunky border, but here it detracts from the delicacy of the rose. maybe if the reds were bolder or the contrast higher, frame and subject might complement each other more... 6. |

| I don't care for the thick border, but I do like the sqaure crop here and how you've placed the center of the rose. Nice soft focus effect too, good job. |
