 Open in PSCS. Did about 4 different curves/levels adjustments, including enhance monochromatic contrast. Sharpened, Desaturated and saved for web.

Technically a good shot and good use of perspective to demostrate the theme. Nice and sharp too. Good B/W post processing. A 7 for me as I felt that the overall punch and impact is a little lacking.

I like this overall. Nice contrast and a well-balanced B/W treatment. I would like to see this in some other orientation maybe. How did it look rotated right or left? If you could have composed the shot with diagonal lines instead? Just some thoughts. Best of luck to you in the challenge.

Great tones, great contrast. I love the symmetry of the composition which at the same time avoids coming across as lifeless. The shot has a feeling of motion to me, or tension. One thing that distracts me here is the gap about 1/3rd from the left on the bottom where you are looking through to - what. Something that is not rope like everything else in the shot. Also the leftmost strands stand out as very dark and sort of throw off the otherwise beautiful repetition of tones in the frame. Not sure how much control you had over the setup of this or if it was 'found'. Anyway, really nice work, I hope it scores highly. 8.
