Taken in my school I used a little lightbulb and umbrella for lighting.

I'm unhappy about the shadow of the third kid who was cropped out because he didn't work with the shot.

I messed around with contrast and added a gradient map.

This is a very interesting picture. I'm curious about the boy in sandals (what is the covering on his forearms and hand?) and it feels like there might be an undercurrent going on even though there is a definite feeling of stillness or calm to the photo. I'm uncertain about the sepia tone - maybe because it is looking flat. Anyway to me pictures should make you think or feel or both and this one does that. Technically I am such a beginner but can say that the cropping is very pleasing to me, the light spot on the wall is a little distracting and with the hint of shadow on the wall I wonder if that couldn't have been enhanced. Love the expressions on the boys faces.

nice composition, I can almost imagine them sitting there in the hallway waiting to be called into the principal's office..nice choice on the coloring as well

At first I wasn't sure where the "calm" suggestion in the challenge definition was at but when I thought about boys that age I realized just having them "at rest" was calm. Great choice to put them in sepia.
