Shot was taken at Defcon 14 at a party in a hotel. I used A Nikon Speedlight SB-80DX along with the lens and camera listed here.

Post processing was some level and usm.

Post Comments: To answer someones comment on how I setup this shot, I simply bounced the flash perpendicular to the wall at my left. Thanks everyone for your comments.

Now thats just odd. I like your composition though. I even like the tilt it actually add to the oddness of the shot. Your light is nice

Very cleverly conceived and well shot, with great colours and clarity. I think, though, that this image would be even more effective if you cropped down a bit from the top--to about 1/2 way from the top of the hat to the brim.

well this is weird. ill give ya that. I don't "get" it at all. but is done VERY well. very sharp. fantastic lighting. 7
