 as we were prospecting our way down this creek, i was completely blown away by the sheer size of the trees here. this picture doesnt do them justice, but was the best photo op that i cam across during the day. i have real problems taking photos in the dark old growth forest, and id like some suggestions on how to capture the colour and grandeur that is an old growth coastal rain forest.

bear in mind that i am limited by my equipment...cant pack a dslr with me at work, so i shoot with a powershot s3.

no tripod... the S3 is stabalised, so i dont really need to worry about shake until i hit 1/30

Nice capture and beautiful saturation of the colours.
It can get pretty dark in there, do you use a tripod?
