First of it, I hate this theme, totaly hate this. The idea of making photo without subject is almost impossible because someone will always find some subject in the frame, so it will be very hard to let be subjectless for all, so I go with texture for this time, and this is bad texture, fine colors but bad picture IMHO, I think this will score around 5.3.
Yes btw I hate this, just doing this for my WPL team

This was one of the favorites I came across during voting. I thought this was a wonderful example of the challenge and you should be proud that you took something you did not care for and made a great photo of it.

After reading your comments about your photo...I have to say this. Don't be so hard on yourself. You nailed the challenge but the voters don't see that. They picked pretty pictures, most of them with obvious subjects...imho...yours should have been in the top 15. Keep up the good work!

Nice concept, think it might have played a little better with a slightly increased dof and/or bringing the focal point a bit 'closer' to the viewer (eg, more to the left).

No...don't tell me what it is! It was totally cool until I saw it. I thought it was spiderwebs of wet string or something. Dang...don't do that again. Just a warning this time so I'll still give you a 10. };>)

The lines draw me to towards the focus point. The colors are nice. and i like the repetition. Looks like a movie screen with the borders.

Love the shot with the shallow dof, but I find the border really awkward and distracting. I think it's a combination of the off-balance feel and the harsh black next to the soft pastel blues.
