A typical seascape from Norway. Not too happy with the clouds here, but I want to include a seascape from my hometown in my profile.

Cheers

This is way over processed. Was done up north on a new laptop, I'm shocked to see the results on my own monitor.

Ugh...

Critique Club Review:

Wow! If this isn't processed, I really need to go see your home town. I can see where purists might think this is a good thing taken too far. However, I believe that just and an artist can do impressionist work with a brush, so should a phtotographer be able to do the same.

Personally I find the colors to be very pleasing. If the challenge were to be a restful scene, there is too much energy here. But that was not the case, and the more I look at this picture, the better I like it. I like the color, the lighting, the exposure, and depth of field. Your timed exposure really added to the result. The darkened sky at the upper right, helps guide the eye to the left, and the whole picture seems to start over again. I could see this hanging on my wall.

I really like this series. This isn't as good as the others but I really really don't get why people can't except the processing style you have taken with these. You either like it or you don't and move on. Saying you destroyed a photo makes zero sense especially when I'm pretty sure you still have the untouched original anyway. Sorry, it seems like I'm in my own rant but I hate when people demand a subject be presented in just one way and one way only. Kudos to you for bringing something new to a very saturated subject matter, pun intended.

I like it. The processing is definitely well done, if too extreme for some of the voters. I want to go to Norway now :P

Wonderful, I just keep coming back to this image. Love the way you have made an active sea seem calm.

Maybe you were going for this look, so if that's the case then just ignore the rest of this comment. This is a really nice photo destroyed by post processing. Completely unnatural looking sky and shore. Looks like you captured just the right amount of motion blur on the water but the processing on that reef or shore or whatever keeps stabbing me in the eye every time I start to glance at the water. Again if this was your intent then go with it, but imo you need to ban yourself from touching hue/sat for a good long while.

It's a beautiful picture...I'd certainly save it as a favorite...imho...I just don't think it fits the challenge as well as some of the other photos I've seen do.

Hyperprocessed a bit? Very nicely composed, but just a bit over the top for me.

Nice sunset. Highly saturated, bordering on overdone, but still looks good. The rock stands out, but not enough to be the subject, so this meets the challenge well.

ooh, la, la...awesome shot...love this and I hope it does well for you...the way the reef seems to mimic the sky's clouds is superb, great use of wide angle and a perfect exposure 9
