beautiful light and textures. i love the ripples on the surface of the water and the way the eye is led from the left side to the right side of the reservoir. |

Wow!!! Amazing view, i wish i was there myself. I especially like the middle part of the green field where the patch of cloud just moved away making the light brightening only that spot. Vibrant color!!! |

Wow, the background almost looks like a cartoon. I think the little bugs add a little more character to the shot. :)
Good job! |

Insects! I would never have guessed. The Dales are indeed a lovely place. You're lucky to be nearby. |

Thank you for your comments Pineapple and for adding my picture to your favourites. This is in the Yorkshire dales, a little further north than the areas affected by water shortages. It was a great day for photography, with the sun breaking through the clouds and painting the landscape.
They are actually a little swarm of insects, they show up nicely in the full size image. You can see them in the image âFields of greenâ too. They added a little extra interest I thought.

Not the drought-stricken part of the Green and Pleasant Land, I am glad to see. The perfect trees along the hedgerow lines and their shadows give this a dramatic effect. Nicely done. The birds, a nice touch, would show up better in a larger image.
