I think it's the straight on, centered composition of the shot which doesn't do it for me.
It reminds me of old film shots, in terms of its colour. |

| I donot find it to be a very interesting subject for a silhouette due to its border regularity. |

| I think the figurine makes a poor choice for a silhouette as it tends to reflect the light from odd angles. Furthermore, this particular piece doesn't have a strong outline that is necessary to make a good sihouette, IMO. |
