Greetings from the Critique Club.
Hi Richard,
Looking through your comments it seems a few too many voters know their aircraft better than you or I. I don't think you were too badly marked down for it as the score seems adequate. Still, it couldn't have been nice getting so many 'negative' comments through the voting.
I'm going to go with the comment from Cheerz below. This is a difficult attempt, and not one I would have tried. There are far too many simply awesome professional pictures of fighter aircraft, usually taken from another plane; so the standard is high.
On the whole, given that you were at sea-level and not able to influence your subject with regard to the light, I think this shot has turned out well. There is enough light on the plane to show the detail. A bit of USM could have brought this out some more and given it a bit of depth.
I hope my comments help and Good Luck in future Challenges!
Cheers

I think this photograph needs some post processing, it looks like flat to me. |

It's a nice shot.. but.. the shot lacks the impact as the subject looks to be frozen and not in motion.. It's a difficult attempt.. and I don't think I'll ever be able to it.. 5 for me.. |

While this is a very good shot of an aeroplane it doesnât really say âTop Gun the Movieâ to me. It lacks any drama. I understand that there is little you could do to add any as with this sort of subject you can only get what is available. As I said, it is a good picture, just not a drama picture. |

Don't recall seeing a Tornado in Topgun :)
Nice image tho, nice and sharp, and shot at quite a nice angle so you can see a fair bit of the plane. I think it could do with a little more suturation, just to make the colours jump out a little more. Good effort tho. 6/10 |

Another great movie. I really like the way it looks as though one of the pilots is looking straight at the camera. Very sharp and simple. Great image. |

nice and sharp shot. but this seems more like the title fits the shot, then it recreates a scene from the movie. |

If someone gave Tom Cruise the keys to a jet with bombing capabilities today, I would be camping out in my bomb shelter. Now, I'm nervous. |
