| Simple shot.. technically ok but lacks the impact when put against some of the shot in this challenge.. the statue at the background takes away the attention from the gnome.. 5 for me.. :) |

| didn't see the movie. I like the absurd contrast between the gnome and the surfer. I don't think that will be enough to bring the overall score into the higher regions. |

This screams "Travelocity" to me. I expect to be told about great deals on hotels and airfair.
Never say the movie (I seem to be typing that a lot...heck, I never saw the movie I did MY entry for), so I don't know how it fits. The photo itself, well, I think the stark white sky might hurt it, as well as the smaller size. |

could be a bit larger to get more detail and not sure about the knome (or whatever he is) with a surfer memorial in the background, maybe i'm not familiar with the movie...
Seen alot of wierdos living in santa cruz, but this little guy may be at the top of the list lol! |

| good shot it would have been nice as a larger photo. try this tutorial. its based on photoshop, but its similar to other programs. I find photos will often be judged down not on their own merits but its presentation. |

| it was a great movie, one of my faves...I wish you saved this at a higher resolution and perhaps photographed this at a famour landmark in your city and used a white frame to make it look like a photo...something like the gnome would send |

| best film reference so far, the gnome is a litle too shiny. you should've given it a polaroid border like the pictures of the gnome in the film. |
