Odd shadowing, but an extra point for it being a gnome! And good eye for noticing that this met the challenge!

I think a less-busy background would have helped this image.

Colors rather dull in my opinion, lightning very hard and not very good (deep shadow on the eyest etc). And I´m not sure I´m getting the point here.

Too centered, the colours are too weak and, actually, there's nothing to see. Sorry.
