 The concrete blocks are tank traps left from the war.

Upped the exposure and adjusted white balance a bit while converting from RAW. Also, upped the shadows, brightness and contrast in the RAW converter. Cropped to rectify my inability to not stand lopsided. In photoshop, a tiny bit of tweaking on the levels and color balance and a bit of low intensity dodge and burn to clean up a few not quite ideal areas.

I love the lighting here... it makes it look as though the tree is clutching at the light.

Too dark in the areas to which the title is obviously referring. It is entirely unclear what they are or why they are an interesting subject.

at first I thought it was a lake, then I realized it was blocks of some sort. They are nicely integrated!
