This is the stuff that takes 200 years to regenerate with one footstep in it - and they are building houses right behind where I took this photo. I'm no tree hugger, but this housing development is pushing my buttons.

That's Wilson's Arch just south of Moab in the background.

I would have liked a greater DOF so we can still see the detail of the arch in the background

Nice scene, but DOF is not sufficient. You need everything in focus in this kind of shot

This is such an interesting spot. I'd love to go there someday. It's very dramatic and you've got some good colors going on. I think it would be more powerful still if the foreground were in focus. I might have cropped the whole left side and the foreground, leaving the sharp middle ground and the rock formation in the back, but then you might have lost some of the depth.

the DOF is just not working for me here. too many focal p[oints out of focus.
