I just changed the photo out. I'm new here and someone emailed and said I should not enter challenges with photos and share them in my portfolio at the same time. Said it wasn't against the rules, but kind of an unspoken rule. So thanks for the tip. I think I like this one better anyway now that I look at it. |

This is really good! I think his smile looks very natural. My son is almost 16, and is not too thrilled about posing for me either. I think you are on the right track. Keep shooting! |

Yeah, I like this one! He's looking straight at the camera, all that needs to be in focus is, the composition, colours are great. Very nice! |

Great portrait. Composition is well done, lighting is nice. I happen to like the way you've framed his face. I think the highlights on right side of his face (his left) are a little blown, so exposure may not be perfect (ISO is pretty high for example). Sharpness could be improved, though it could be argued that some softness is called for in this style of portrait. I don't notice any post work, which is usually good, but on the other hand, the image may have been improved with some adjustments to curves, colour and the like. Overall a well done portrait, congratulations. |

Nice use of what looks like natural light to capture Josh. I think it awesome you were able to get a nice shot a of 16 year old boy. I like the placement of the subject, I might suggest leaving a little more on his head in even if it added a little more to his shirt as well. |
