Somehow this photo lacks a little saturation, otherwise good composition. |

| In my opinion, insect shots where the subject takes up a significant portion of the frame, and the subject is centred tend not to work. This is because a viewer will want to focus on the eyes first, but the photographer has made an arbitrary centre of the insect's body the focus. The butterfly is also too centred vertically, I think it would have been much stronger if you had cropped a significant portion of the top off. Very nice butterfly macro other than that, shame that your background is a little distracting just above the butterfly. Great light, good detail. Shame about the glare on the foreground flowers. 7 |

| Great depth of field helps separate the butterfly from the background. Beautiful profile of the butterfly. Good composition. |

| Beautiful! Nice bit of backlight on the wings. Shooting lower down may have allowed a view of the sky which could have avoided the bland background. |

| great light. Good be improved with a bit more attention paid to the backgrounds, but a good capture on the butterfly and the backlighting/ sidelighting makes the wings glow |
