Good photo that would have become stronger if you had cropped it to meet the rule of thirds.

um... your frog is almost centered. nice composition, though.

This is a great frog shot, but rule of thirds? The frog is almost dead center both horizontally and vertically.
09/09/2006 06:14:30 AM
Maybe he's thinking of jumping to that upper corner of the plant?
09/08/2006 10:14:32 PM
subject is too centered for me
09/08/2006 01:15:17 PM
The frog looks to me liek it is more centered than 1/3 off the edge. I think tighter crop from the right woul dhave made this somewhat stronger. Just my 2 cents.

I think you missed the concept on the rule of thirds, as your main subject is centered in the image.
09/08/2006 07:29:01 AM
It seems more a central composition that a thirds based one.

Very cool frog. If only he wasn't centered!

Rule of thirds? Hm, the main subject is more in the center, isn't it? Nevertheless a funny shot, good luck for the challenge!

I like frogs, and usually images of them really grab my heart. I find this one to be lacking in punch though as there really isnt much contrast here. The other problem is the composition. To meet the rule of thirds, the frog should not be so centered, as that is your subject. I think it would do better if the frog was along the lines of thirds both horizontally and vetically.

This does not really fit the rule of thirds. The frog is smack dab in the middle of the frame.

Should you have cropped this picture it would fit the challange much better

"...your points of interest should be placed on the intersections of those lines"
09/06/2006 08:17:34 AM
question how centering the frog meets the challenge?
09/06/2006 06:34:00 AM
the frog is more in the center.
09/06/2006 02:33:04 AM
I think you should have cropped this pic mate to better meet the challange

This is great capture however the froggy seems to be in the dead center. Why not crop ot to fit in one of the intersections. Guess you'll be preparing for loads of comments like this one. Sorry. I like your shot I the tip of the froggie's nose ti near being 1/3. :) 7
