Maybe a more abstract take on the challenge, but my eye end up at the top of the step and thats ROT to me.

If the focus would have been at the top of the steps I'd have given it a solid 10. Great idea...there's a 9 waiting for you up there.

The path is the subject here without something that it leads to. I think it would have worked had you had someone walking the trail away from you with something bright on. A sexy guy with a turtlneck and a Red scarf (you could have him looking back like he is waiting for you to catch up) or a kid with yellow golashes. Or a lady with a red umbrella. Or an old guy walking a golden retriever... you get the idea.

Looks like a cool place for a walk. The focus seems a bit off/soft, though.

Nice composition I guess. I'd prefer this with longer depth of field though. Distant trees look too blurred to me.

Nice composition. The depth of field is a little too shallow for me...I would have liked more of the woods to be in focus. Just my preference.
