Used a CTO gel on the flash, set to tungsten(incandescent), and poof. Okay, so I had to fiddle with the placement and setting some. This is about 3pm, so the blue light is the Sun, not the moon.

Trying out some stuff I learned on strobist.blogspot.com.

I like the colors and POV. It's a tad dark, but the dual lighting creates a neat effect.

Before reading your comments I thought this was taken at night. Like the creative lighting approach and the shadows/highlights that are created. Great start!

Now how did you get this to look like night at 3 pm? The gel used on the flash then underexpose? Very effective - does indeed look like night.

COOL. I like the blue tones and the way it does the lens of your glasses on the left.

good job not getting grey skin tones with tungsten lighting. cool little circular shapes of light too.
