My friend Kitten manning the Voltaire table at Dragon*Con 2006. This is a basic editing version; the real version is much better in some subtle ways.

the white blobs behind her are distracting, but not distracting enough to create an effect. the subject looks very good, though. the high contrast seems to suit her. 6

You did a nice job of placing the girl according to the rule of thirds; however, in doing so you created a bunch of negative space behind her that fails to add to the image and even distracts from the main subject. I think you could have cropped out that doll/object in the background and still met the challenge intent with the girl's eyes fulfilling the rule of thirds requirement.

nice clear shot. interesting subject but the contrast is a little blown out leaving a large white patch on her shoulder and white on nose and cheeks.I really don't care for the background and find it distracting and kind of evil looking. a different background would have totally changed it for the better.

Great contrast! And her expression captures so much feeling. Nice work.

should have the subject looking into the space, not away from it (in my humble opinion)

There's something freaky about that thing in the background. I do like the high key aspect of the model.
