Hmmm...I gave this a low score based on a few no-no's.

1- Vertical crop where a good third of the image has absolutely nothing and doesn't accentuate the image.
2 - My eyes are drawn to the white shirt of the people and yet they are so minimal in the image that it is a waste of everything around them...and yet the subject is the tree...but my eye doesn't go there initially.
3 - The tree is horizontal...and yet its trunk is almost central and the left of the foliage has been cropped off while the right has a gap.
4 - Colour. We have green and grey...those colours do not jump out at anyone. This needs something to jazz it right up.

This was an advanced editing challenge. But I would start with a completely different angle of perspective. Maybe get down on your back and photograph upwards at the tree. This would make the tree huge and probably distort but in this type of challenge it would work. It would also give you a different surround that when turned to BW would really knock your socks off.

Too much green saturation. Doesn't look real.

The tree is cut off!

Now what has that lonely tree got to do with those three suspicious characters in the background? I know, they buried one of their competitors under it a few years back and came to dance on the site to remind them of their victory... ;-)

Good picture but everything seems to be too green.

Wish the tree were in focus and the lighting not flat. The people add nothing to the composition....should have let them walk out of the frame, perhaps.
