Ok - technically they are a grass and I'm gonna get slammed for it - they are also commonly called a tree - I went with the very broad terminology.
Crop, exposure, NI, selective color, contrast mask light, contrast mask darks, overlay lights layer change opacity to 60%, merge layers, adjust levels, unsharp mask, canvas size white boarder, canvas size black boarder, image size, save for web. |

| While not a tree (bamboo is a grass) it is a lovely photo with the photographer displaying a great eye for composition. |

| Did you know that "Everlasting Bamboo" is in fact a plant from the lily family - not a bamboo at all? Now trees come in all shapes and sizes but bamboo is more of a grass-like genus, I think. |

DNMC ;) bamboo is not a tree its a grass (Poaceae family), great shot though.
edit, did a search, lucky bamboo is not even bamboo, its a flowering shrub in the Ruscaceae family. |
