I really like this image. A strong attempt has been made to tell the story of this tree. I like your point of view. The colors are right on, with a nice contrast. A nice effort all around ... keep shooting

I think a different time of day might have given you more helpful light. the bark and dying leaves don't look great with the bright light. I'd alos like to see this whole scene in focus. the outside of the picture looks OOF at points.

It seems oversharpened, leaving a lot of white pixel specs throughout the image.

Some of the colors in the needles seem a little too bright. Otherwise, this is a nice shot.

Trees take a time to grow (unlike, say, weeds). I always feel sorrow when I see one come down due to wind or vandalism... But then again, the recycling that goes on on the forest floor is nourishment for a future generation of trees.
