 Given the violence of the Chicago winters - particularly right along the lake, I'm not sure why the City planted this tree alone and so close to the water.

The skyline overshadows the tree a bit. Perhaps a lower angle? : )

At least it has open access to rain water. When they plant trees in NYC, they surround them with concrete and bricks. Such ignorance!

I think the ony way this shot might work is from a lower perspective......just too busy with the tree obscuring part of the cityscape
